Wellness Week was started over 20 years ago to celebrate Life. Page Oberlin needed something that would begin the season on a high note that would continue through until the Inn was put to rest in the fall.

Over the years it has metamorphosis into a myriad of different forms. I thought that was because of what we included each year, but I've come to realize that the people are that which makes this a place of Wellness. They would leave and come back over and over...sometime the same often a few couldn't make it and a few new people came instead. Each year we have still maintained our playful attitude and our love of life. Oh...more than a few tears have been shed in our days together, and much laughter has echoed wherever we are!
In the recent past we have brought together yoga, meditation, massage, "writing from the soul", art, chanting, singing, past life regression, psychic readings, astrological readings, talks dealing with interpersonal stuff, as you can see many things have crossed our paths.   

Page Oberlin owned the Sea View Inn at Pawley's Island in South Carolina, but in recent years has moved away from the area.    

The new owners of the Sea View did not keep up Wellness Week....seems it didn't reflect their own views on wellness.   
        
So here we are just outside of the busy Washington DC metropolitan area in  Beallsville MD.  Sort of why we say "Get away without leaving town".

Originally a turn-of-the-century family farm, this property has been in the hands of religious orders since the 1950's, first as a convent and then a monastery. Today, Sanctuary continues to be a place to experience peace and joy.
